I am officially stepped into the Hummingbird cookbook baking fever!! I am now fully loaded with pure sugar! Can cakes really be healthy? To be honest I don’t really care, I just found baking extremely relaxing and good way to hide myself away from the kids ^___* well…when they didn’t ask you whether they can help…..oh, don’t judge me here yet, I do occasionally enjoyed baking with kids ^^
OK, so far, I have done the oh-so-famous Red velvet cupcakes (which the creamcheese icing didn’t really set as I was suddenly health conscious about the written amount of icing sugar I have to put in!! trust me, its shocking!). I have also baked the Original Amercian chocolate brownies that I quite pleased with, and also my favourite Banana bread, which no one really eat banana bread in my household beside myself! Who cares, I am going to polish it all up ^^
Ok, I believed more recipe in the book to go!! ^^ Happy baking!
Omg.. It’s been crazily raining/snowing/hailing the last 24 hours!!! Maybe more than that… I really cannot recall the last time I seen this much of rain! A very wet end of March with an average 4 degrees everyday =____= this is distressing…
Well, life still goes on, school runs, supermarket trips, library etc.. The different is just we are now finally used to the wet from head to toes feeling after 3 years in Ireland! But funny enough, the weather doesn’t seems bothering my 3 years old at all.. Scrooter with wellies in the rain, yes, even still have a big smile on her face ^^ blessed x
Picked up a few new shades of Catrice nail polishes from pharmacy counter the other day. Lovely nude shades I couldn’t resisted!
Left-right: 090 Karl Says Tres Chic; 050 Moulin Rouge Light; 020 Cotton Candy At Eiffel Tower
I have got Karl Says Tres Chic straight on here
It gives a lovely nude pastel pink shades! Brilliant!
Other two, I am planning to create a French nails effect! Or just use them alone
Catrice nail polishes are nice good quality as its super bargain price as less than €2.50 each!! Amazing!! They are ^^
The Bear restaurant in town, went there with the kids once, and here comes the 2nd visit with hubby. A quick lunch for two, I both ordered the Soup and sandwiches combo, which is less than €10 each, and surprisingly yummy and great value! Will highly recommend anyone to give their lunch a try ^^
Apple streusel cake.. Here I come! What’s better than hide my head inside the kitchen and do some baking ^^ opening my usual Hummingbird baking bible.. Apple sounds good, and I happened to have some Granny Smiths with me here!
Only took able 30 mins for preparation, not bad as a more complicated cake, another 40mins in the oven, and what a success! Yummmm and best is served it warm with some freshly whipped cream ^^ heavenly !!
More than a month ago, my two rascals happened to spot the early Easter chocolate eggs on sale on the supermarket aisle, and surely they have both set their eyes on the huge gigantic Kinder Surprise Easter Egg!! So I’ve promised by the time is closer I’m going to get them both each of these..
Since then.. These gigantic eggs are nowhere to been seen… Started to get panicky attack poor mummy made the promise and how on earth I’m going to deliver the gigantic egg with toy inside! I’ve found them today finally!!! In Dunnes!!! Thx god x x x you are really listening ^^
Like a crazy mum I’ve grabbed 4 of them… Just on case!! Haha
Now treated myself with a nice cup of latte with vanilla syrup and a slice of carrot cake ^^ yummm. I love my kids free afternoon x
